Rodent control
Rodent control refers to domestic rodents.
By the term domestic rodents we refer to mice and rats that invade residential areas, contaminate human premises and food with their excrement, urine and hair and are a great risk to public health.
In addition, they are responsible for various damages to furniture and cables, with the risk of causing serious damage (eg causing a fire from a eaten cable).
Some of the diseases that can be transmitted from rodents to humans and animals are leptospirosis, typhoid fever, plague, salmonella and plague.
The most common types that we encounter and concern us are:
-
Mus musculus (house mouse)
-
Rattus Norvegicus (pet rat)
-
Rattus rattus
The fight against rodents is done by installing a network of bait stations.
The bait stations used in muscle kills are made of durable plastic, tunnel type, with a safety key and have special holes for water drainage and nailing to the ground.
The advantages of bait stations are:
- Protecting the bait from weather conditions.
- Not transporting the bait from the bait station outside.
- Easier and safer consumption of bait by rodents (sense of security).
- The ability to control the consumption of the bait and record it in protocols.
- The safety of children and pets.
