TERMITES / ANTS
Termites are small winged insects that are often confused with ants.
They feed mainly on cellulose, causing great damage to wooden floors, frames, wooden furniture, books, textiles of plant origin, etc.
These are social insects that form colonies.
Unlike other wood-eating insects, termites do not remove sawdust and excrement from the canals, so the damage they cause is not obvious.
They are distinguished in:
- Subterranean termites
- Wetwood termites
- Drywood termites
